The Nav One 3000 features Cobra’s iA.S.A.P (Intelligent Accelerated Satellite Acquisition Protocol) technology, which takes advantage of 12 parallel channels for faster acquisition and uninterrupted satellite signal reception in urban canyons and dense foliage. And in places like tunnels and underpasses where satellite signals are lost, this handy GPS unit includes a nonmagnetic gyroscopic turn-rate sensor that provides directional information to maintain correct heading information and to keep you on the map. An easy-to-read, 5.2-inch color display features an ultrabright backlit screen, intuitive functional backlit soft keys, and a photo sensor that automatically adjusts the display for day or night viewing. These features combine to offer superb readability even under bright, sunlit conditions and easy access to specific functions in any given mode.
A perfect traveling companion during your drive, the Nav One 3000 includes a North America street-level-detail map that includes the 48 contiguous United States, plus Hawaii and major metropolitan areas of Canada. These maps come already unlocked and ready to use, so you don’t have to download anything from CDs or your PC. Keeping the contemporary professional in mind, Cobra’s Nav One 3000 also has a built-in infrared port that allows you to instantly transfer addresses to it from your Palm OS or Windows Pocket PC based PDAs.
Designed to help you focus on your driving without having to worry about where you are going, the Nav One 3000 has a built-in hard drive that features two million points of interest, which are searchable by business phone numbers; trip data functions such as an odometer, speedometer, and trip timer; and a trip planner that allows you to preprogram up to 10 destinations per plan for up to five total plans. This unit even includes a trail mode so you can go off-roading and mark your favorite waypoints for future return. For your convenience, this Cobra GPSM system includes English, Spanish, and French navigational voice languages, and it automatically shuts off to conserve battery power when the ignition is turned off. The Nav One 3000 weighs 1 pound, 8.6 ounces, and it measures 7.91 by 2.28 by 4.73 inches (W by D by H).

[if I live in the NY City area. I received the Nav One system as a christmas present from my wife. I love the system. I plugged the system in and in about 5 minutes it pin pointed my location and I was able to program the Navone to go anywhere I wanted. Putting in an address is fairly easy once you figure out how to input it. I love how the Nav One knows the tight turns thru the NYC city highways without a problem. The point of interest is very useful for finding various locations without knowing the address. I love golf, so having a listing of every golf course in the country is very useful. I do have a couple of issues with the unit. This version of the Nav One has no carrying case. I had to order a case separately. You would need one because the screen smudges fairly easily when handling it. The unit has a hard time finding addresses which are formatted like for example, 90-25 161st street. You have to put in the cross street for you to at least come close to the address.]

I plugged the system in and in about 5 minutes it pin pointed my location and I was able to program the Navone to go anywhere I wanted. missing part – Janice Ferriss – lake charles Louisiana
when I received my cobra nav system the cord to use it was missing and I have had to call three times and still nhave not received the cord. I contacted Cobra, but I think it came from Target.com
